Therese Plath, Co-Principal of Ray White Cairns Central, is a true local to her area, born in Cairns bred on the Tablelands before returning to Cairns on her marriage 35 years ago. For the past 25 years, Therese has happily resided on their south side acreage property at Edmonton. Following a successful career in tourism and hospitality and having bought and sold many properties over the years, Therese always had a desire to be involved in the real estate industry. Almost overnight Therese became very successful winning many sales and marketing awards and in 1993 joined her partner to form Ray White Cairns Central. In 17 years of selling real estate in the Cairns area, Therese has become one of the State's outstanding Sales Principals, always prominent in the Top 10, being No. 3 in 2005. In 1996-97 Therese was awarded the prestigious Cairns Real Estate Salesperson of the Year Excellence Award and was again successful with the same award in 1998-99. Therese was yet again successful in winning the same award for 2001-2002. In 2002, Therese became the first real estate salesperson to be entered into the Cairns REIQ Hall of Fame; having been awarded the prestigious Cairns Real Estate Salesperson of the Year Excellence Award three times, in 1996, 1998 and again in 2001. In 2003 Therese was thrilled to be announced as the Cairns Business Woman of the Year – an outstanding award recognized by the wider Cairns City. Therese was named as one of the group’s top performers in the state achieving the prestigious commendation of Elite Performer for 2004 and in 2005 she was awarded with Elite Performer and also was again No. 3 in top selling principals for Queensland. Her perceptive nature, dedication to provide excellence in her level of service, and commitment to ensure the sale is completed distinguishes her above her peers. Recently she again gained recognition as an Elite Performer for Ray White Australasia for 2006.
