Corinne, though not a locally born and raised Queenslander, would like to claim this right! An orphan from Africa who has lived in and loved Cairns for the past 23 years. Life’s journey has been very exciting for Corinne, born in Tanzania, educated in Ireland and England, lived and worked in Tanzania, Madagascar, Cameroun and Papua New Guinea before making a home permanently in Cairns which being a tropical destination seemed the obvious place. Life in Cairns started at the Cairns Business College and from there a continuous employment record in place. Working first in the motor industry, then the fuel industry for Caltex as a depot manager for some 10 years but the passion Corinne has for good food ultimately saw her purchase Patrice’s Delicatessen. In the time that Corinne had Partrice’s the business grew immensely and a move was necessary to accommodate the business. Products from around the world, some never acquired in Cairns were suddenly available for the ardent foodie. Australian and locally produced ingredients were the basis for the entire menu of homemade delicious fare for which the business became renowned. All things come and go and the sadly for Corinne the business was sold. A time for recovery from the years of dedication to her own business allowed some travel within Australia and after this time Corinne joined the Real Estate industry beginning as a Personal Assistant with a high profile agency in Cairns. Two busy years later Corinne has joined the team at Ray White Cairns Central as a Salesperson. Corinne has much to thank Australia for, not least of all, the opportunity to exist in a wonderful place such as Cairns. Some say it is the most beautiful part of Australia with its’ rainforest clad mountains creating a glorious backdrop. Corinne has only one son who now lives in Townsville and has recently been blessed with a grandson. She has a love for nature’s four legged creatures and can often be seen walking her dogs around the Brinsmead area. In a snap shot Corinne is a keen sportsperson who actively enjoys tennis, and walking with a love of good company, good food, good wine and responding to a sound challenge with integrity and honesty.
